Spiders
Title - Spider
WALT: describe
Remember to:
- use looks, actions and characteristics
- use describing words
- similes and metaphors
- paragraphs (from planning sheet)
Are you afraid of spiders? Did you know that spiders live in the whole world except for Antarctica?
Spiders have 8 legs that are as hairy as grass. They have two body parts, they are called thorax and abdomen. Spiders come in different, sizes large and small. The largest is called goliath birdeater tarantula (28 cm) and the smallest called a Patu marplesi (smaller than 1cm)
They are brilliant hunters. A spider makes a spider web as sticky as bubble gum, to catch their prey. Spiders eat flies, small insects and sometime they even eat their own kind.
Spiders move with their legs. They use two at a time to move. They can run, swing, jump, and some can swim.
The next time you see a spider as scary as a vampire, don’t because they won’t hurt you and are good killing annoying flies.

The Wolf
The wolf
WALT: describe
Remember to:

- paragraphs (from planning sheet)
The wolfs teeth are as sharp as broken glass. His fur is as gray as rocks. His eyes are as yellow as the sun.
He likes to eat people for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He likes to trick people by getting dressing up as them. One day he dressed in Grandmas clothes and he pretend to be Grandma so he could ask Little Red Riding Hood questions.
Remember if you ever see a Big Bad wolf run fast run like the wind because he will just try and trick you and have you for his dinner.
